Famous lighthouses from around the world

Just as medieval castles are memorable evidence specific cultural and historical period, lighthouses are evidence of our long-term relationship with the ocean. Despite the fact that this technology is still used, new beacons are more like a modern, functional and unattractive tower over the buildings that were built in the last century. Many of them show a decline and neglect, but passionate people around the world have formed a group to restore and preserve this history.

I was lucky enough to visit the two remaining working lighthouse in Canada, to see the beauty of the structure and get an understanding of what it means to be a lighthouse keeper.
